First of all a short explanation of the situation. Lets say you are playing 6 SNGs at the same time. Now there are two possible solutions for how to handle this situation.

1. You open 6 SNGs, then start playing them and you wait until you've finished all of them. Now you open six new SNGs. This is called a set.
2. The other option is that you start with six SNGs but as soon as one SNG ends you directly start a new one so that you have always six SNGs open. This is called "playing successive SNGs".

Reasons to play SNGs as sets

• At all tables, the blinds are the same amount. In general, there is, at most, only one difference in blind levels. For us, that means that our playing style is the same at all 6 tables. That means that you are playing weak-tight or push-fold at the same time at all tables. So you don't have to adapt to different situations while you are playing.
• The closer you get to the final stages of your SNG the more tables that are already closed. In general, there are never more than 2 tables which end up with you playing Heads-Up, when you start with six SNGs. So you can concentrate completely on these two tables.
• You have static breaks. When playing SNGs you just can't take a break for two rounds, like you can at a cash game. You're tied to your pc. So if you're playing using the successive style, you won't be able to just make a little break in between. But when you are playing in sets, this isn't a big problem for you.

Reasons why you should play successive SNGs:

• You don't think a lot about singular results. If you play SNGs as sets and you lose five SNGs out of the six SNGs you were playing, you start thinking that you should've won at least one of these 5 tournaments. But if you play successive SNGs, you think about all the SNGs as a single session. Actually, you don't really have enough time to start thinking about how much SNGs you've lost or won. You're taking some pressure off your shoulders.
• Because the SNGs are at different blind limits at each table, you don't get under pressure by having four or even six SNGs with you in the bubble. For example, it could be that you're in the bubble at 2 SNGs, but only at the first blind level at the other tables. So you can focus a bit more on the two tables where you're in the bubble.
• All in all, you are playing more SNGs at the same time. And in the end, this will also push your true hourly winrate.
